Research

As part of our commitment to providing the highest quality services, The Sensory Gym® is committed to contributing to research in pediatric occupational therapy focused on treatment effectiveness. In 2019 we conducted an investigation into the impact of Camp Jabiru on participation for campers. We presented preliminary data on the impact of Jabiru at the American Occupational Therapy Association's annual conference in 2020. A manuscript on Jabiru is coming soon!

Research Team

The research at Camp Jabiru has only been possible thanks to the collaboration of a wonderful team: Colleen Hacker, Lynette Burke, Tracy Stackhouse, Shelly Lane, Hannah Burke, Caroline Hui, and Beth Osten. The research is conducted with support from the University of Newcastle.
